Events this Summer!

Kick for a Cause Soccer Tournament!

Join us on Sunday August 16th , 2026 from 10am-3pm at Philip Lauter Park for our annual Kick for a Cause Soccer Tournament! This year, the tournament will be single elimination style, each team will have the opportunity to play in at least one 30 minute game. All games will be played in a full size field with 11 players, which includes a goalie. This is a co-ed tournament, which means all teams must have at least 3 players of the opposite gender on the field at all times. The winning team will receive tournament t-shirts and medals to commemorate their win, as well as trophy!

Funds from this event will benefit the partnering organizations of Grow Windham and The Neighbor Fund. For the past three years, both organizations have partnered together to move forward the development of young people and immigrants in Willimantic. Money fundraised would go towards general operating funds for Grow Windham, and to the emergency fund pool that The Neighbor Fund has developed.
