Our First Annual ComUNITY/ComUNIDAD Leaders Awards Forum was a success! Thank you again to everyone that participated and for all the positive feedback.
I was honored to be selected as a recipient of a community leadership award at Grow Windham’s first annual CommUNITY/CommUNIDAD Leaders Award Forum. Grow Windham is a fantastic youth program connecting local high school students with local gardening, food ethics issues, and entrepreneurship. Visit them Saturday mornings at the Willimantic Farmers Market on Jillian Square! See what our “kids”, aka Windham Food Warriors, are working on this summer!
I’m very honored to be a part of such an amazing group of leaders and also very humbled by being a part of the 1st Annual Leaders Awards Forum and for being picked as one of the community leadership award recipients. This was put on by the Grow Windham youth program. Truly an amazing program made up of local high school students working on things like local gardening, entrepreneurship, and food ethics issues. It truly was an amazing night with incredible people. I think there should be an award for all of the kids who are leading this group as well as their mentors. You all are our future and keep doing what you’re doing. Never give up on your dreams and always follow your heart. And if you haven’t bought their hot sauce that they make themselves definitely do so, it’s yummy. It was so great getting to meet everyone and also seeing some amazing friends as well. Thank you again on behalf of myself and my entire family. We are very blessed to be a part of such an incredible community and together we will make it stronger in every way possible. Congratulations to all of the recipients of this award.and a big congratulations to Grow Windham for having an amazing community event.
